First release of the Rust rewrite.

Install

paru -S fcitx5-ainput-bin    # prebuilt (x86_64, aarch64)
paru -S fcitx5-ainput-git    # build from source

Both install the same files, so only one may be installed at a time.

Artifacts

fcitx5-ainput-0.1.0-{x86_64,aarch64}.tar.zst are meson install DESTDIR images of exactly the files the addon installs. The -bin package unpacks them.

Requirements

  • fcitx5, libpulse, libcurl, libebur128, speexdsp, libsoxr
  • The binary needs glibc 2.39+ (built on current Arch)
  • CapsLock restore needs /dev/uinput; the package ships the udev rule

Not verified

The aarch64 artifact is cross-compiled and was not run on arm hardware. Its object format, dependency list and exported symbols are checked by the build script, but nothing more.

Usage

Hold CapsLock to dictate, release to insert. Ctrl+CapsLock then arrows switches backend and denoiser. Configure in fcitx5-configtool → Addons → Ainput.
