🎉 What's New

First-Time Setup Wizard

We've added a comprehensive 3-step onboarding wizard to make initial configuration much easier for new users!

Welcome Page Features:

  • Step 1: Configure Moonraker Connection

    • Easy-to-follow instructions for both Docker and local installations
    • Test connection capability before saving
    • Clear warnings about Docker networking (127.0.0.1 vs network IP)
    • Visual feedback with connection status
  • Step 2: Add Your First Dryer

    • Guided setup for all hardware components
    • Heater, fan, sensors, LED, and servo configuration
    • Automatically activates after Moonraker is configured
    • Direct navigation to dryer configuration page
  • Step 3: Ready to Start

    • Confirmation screen when setup is complete
    • Quick access to dashboard
    • Refresh status button to re-check configuration

Smart Setup Guard:

  • Automatically redirects unconfigured users to the welcome page
  • Checks for valid Moonraker IP configuration
  • Verifies at least one dryer unit exists
  • Can be bypassed with "Skip setup for now" for advanced users

Improved Configuration Flow

  • Pre-save Connection Testing: Test your Moonraker connection before saving the configuration
  • Auto-redirect After Save: When configuring from welcome page, automatically returns to wizard after saving
  • Back to Setup Buttons: Easy navigation back to welcome page from config pages
  • Better Error Handling: Improved error messages for connection failures

Default Configuration Changes

  • New Default Moonraker IP: Changed from 127.0.0.1 to 127.0.0.2 (invalid placeholder)
    • Forces explicit configuration on first run
    • Prevents Docker users from unknowingly using non-working localhost address
    • Shows warning if 127.0.0.1 is configured (helpful for Docker users)

🔧 API Changes

Modified Endpoints

  • POST /config/moonraker/test-connection: Now accepts configuration in request body
    {
      "moonraker_api_method": "http",
      "moonraker_ip": "192.168.1.100",
      "moonraker_port": 7125,
      "moonraker_api_key": null
    }
