Windows File Sharing (SMB/CIFS) SR unavailable after latest XCP-ng 8.2.1 update (and XCP-ng 8.3)

Hello,

Since the latest XCP-ng 8.2.1 update (june 2025) and also with XCP-ng 8.3 LTS, the Windows File Sharing (SMB/CIFS) SR share is unavailble.
Following image is the status of the SR for a XCP-ng 8.2.1 pool (hosts 44 and 47 are updated, 45 and 46 are not)

Does anybody know why this does not work anymore?

I don't have an issue connecting to our SMB iso library, on 8.3 full updated. Have you tried to right click on the srvlib$ SR and choose "Repair"?

Yes, I have. Is there a possibility that the mount should be done differently?

And, when I detach and repair afterwards, I got:

• Forget SR
• Add SR again

Hi, take a look at /var/log/SMlog, on a server other than the master (they have less logs). This is an extract from a successful repair, I hope it helps you to compare with your logs
