A performance update.

• The Monitor tab now uses about 12% of one CPU core instead of up to 90%. It no longer redraws continuously: the live indicator and the per-second numbers stopped animating, and the charts draw faster.
• The notch overlay and the app's panels no longer spend CPU on invisible shadows.
• System commands that time out, used by Clean and Optimize, can no longer hang.

TidyBug 1.0.0

The first public release of TidyBug, a native macOS disk cleaner for developers.

Download: TidyBug-1.0.0.dmg below (or tidybug.xeve.io). Open it and drag TidyBug to Applications. Signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple.

What's in it

• Clean — 19 known locations (Xcode DerivedData, old iOS Device Support, simulator and package-manager caches, app caches, logs, installers, DB dumps…), grouped by risk; safe items pre-selected.
• Space — interactive, hardlink-aware sunburst of any folder, with the Collector: drag from any view or Finder, then Delete All.
• Projects — node_modules, build, .venv, Pods, target… with age and lockfile checks.
• Duplicates — exact (SHA-256) and similar photos (Vision); one copy is always kept.
• Large Files, Apps (uninstall with leftovers), Optimize (explainable maintenance), Monitor (live system health).
• ⌘K command palette, menu bar companion, notch overlay with live CPU/RAM, low-space notifications, Shortcuts actions.
• Automatic updates via Sparkle, verified with TidyBug's EdDSA key.

Safety

Scanning is read-only, everything goes to the Trash by default, protected paths (~/Documents, iCloud, Photos, .git, ~/.ssh, signed archives…) are refused, and every operation is logged to ~/Library/Logs/TidyBug/operations.jsonl.
