Minco 1.7.0 is an additive lock-step minor release of all 34 public crates.

Highlights:

  • Fresh MINCO_CONTAINER_RUNTIME=auto selection now prefers a ready, qualified Apple Container 1.2.x runtime on supported Apple silicon hosts.
  • Existing lifecycle receipts and exact owned resources keep their recorded runtime, so this release does not silently migrate persistent data.
  • Explicit apple and docker selections remain authoritative and fail closed; Docker Compose remains a supported fallback when Apple Container is unavailable or unsuitable.
  • Frozen 1.7.0 documentation, adoption guidance, and all nine packaged Codex/Claude skills teach the Apple-first local-development boundary.

Compatibility and evidence:

  • All existing public Rust interfaces, Plan IR, production runtime, AWS behavior, and cloud-cost assumptions remain compatible and unchanged.
  • Publication run 31713475849 completed for exact source 7773892792696ccf061ddbb49fa284e5ba7f6747.
  • Independent registry validation confirmed all 34 version 1.7.0 packages are present and non-yanked.
  • A fresh public cargo-minco =1.7.0 install reports minco 1.7.0.
  • Hosted performance and current live-provider evidence remain NOT RUN or absent.
