The Van Gogh edition 🌻

Colorblind Helper is now a small gallery for colour-blind artists.

• Live inside a painting: new themes come from The Starry Night, Café Terrace at Night, Irises, Sunflowers, Almond Blossom, Wheat Field with Cypresses and The Bedroom, plus two plain studio themes, Charcoal and Linen. Each theme's colours are sampled from its canvas.
• Gallery banner: the painting drifts slowly behind a museum-style caption. The studio themes show the paintings in turn.
• Through other eyes: the Vision page shows Vincent's 1887 self-portrait (a red beard against a green ground) as seen with protan, deutan, tritan and achromat vision.
• Your palette: every colour you copy is kept as a paint dab. Click a dab to reuse it, or export the palette for GIMP or Krita (.gpl).
• Serif typography, quotes from Vincent's letters, a faint wash of the painting behind the overlay, and a new icon cut from The Starry Night.
• Fixed: mis-encoded symbols on the overlay ("Frozen" label, degree sign).

All the paintings are public domain. The scans come from Wikimedia Commons; the README lists full credits.

First release of Colorblind Helper: a small always-on-top overlay that names the colour under your cursor.

Highlights

• HEX / RGB / closest colour name, live under the cursor

• Colour-vision simulations: choose any mix of protan, deutan, tritan and achromat

• Redesigned settings with a live preview, and global hotkeys you set by pressing the keys
