Cardloader v0.3.0
Cardloader 0.3.0 estimates grades and conditions on your computer and makes LFM2.5-VL 3B the default local model.
New
- Grading and condition with the local model. A local session can now grade too: Condition picks a label on the scale you choose, Full grade gives corners, edges, surface, centering and a final grade, and Centering the front's centering. Each side is checked and the card takes the worse one. These are rough estimates of a small model, free and offline; for precise grades use the Ximilar API.
- Condition scales. TCGplayer, Cardmarket, eBay trading cards and eBay sports cards. Settings → New sessions sets the default; the New session dialog can change it per session.
- LFM2.5-VL 3B is the default local model (about 2.3 GB, about 3 s per card on a recent Mac), listed first. LFM2.5-VL 1.6B and 450M remain for slower computers; the older LFM2-VL models are removed.
Fixed
- The README's download links now all point at the current release (the 0.2.0 release script updated only the first).

First launch
These builds aren't signed yet, so your system asks before opening them the first time:
- macOS: the first launch says Apple could not verify Cardloader. Click Done, open System Settings → Privacy & Security, click Open Anyway next to the Cardloader message and confirm. (Or run
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Cardloader.appin Terminal.) - Windows: in the SmartScreen window, click More info → Run anyway.
- Linux (AppImage): make the file executable (
chmod +x Cardloader_0.3.0_amd64.AppImage) and run it.
Report problems in Issues.
Cardloader v0.2.0
Cardloader 0.2.0 sells what it scans, starts with a home screen, and handles scanner stacks fed any way up.
New
- Sell on eBay. List a session's cards on eBay with your own eBay developer keys: each card becomes a draft with its pictures, title, item specifics and condition (graded slabs with their grader, grade and certificate number), at Ximilar's price or yours. Publish the drafts when they look right; the session then shows which cards are listed and which sold. See Selling on eBay.
- TCGplayer, Whatnot and Shopify exports. A TCGplayer list of the ungraded trading cards with their product links, Whatnot's bulk listing CSV (auction or Buy it Now), and Shopify product CSVs with condition variants or an inventory update. Pictures can be uploaded to ImgBB with your own key. See TCGplayer, Whatnot and Shopify.
- Home and a first-run setup. Five questions (what you scan, which game, grading, condition or prices, how cards come in, Ximilar API or local model) set the defaults of new sessions; run them again from Home or Settings. Home shows the cards analysed in the last 7 days, a year of activity, the last sessions and those defaults.
- Scanner: rotation and side order. Settings → Scanner can turn pages fed upside down and pair cards fed back side up. These settings now apply to every scanner session, also when one is continued.
Improved
- Upside-down and rotated cards are identified correctly. Recognition now asks Ximilar to turn each card upright before matching, unless the session says every card is upright.
- Faster scanning without grading. A session that doesn't grade scans at 300 dpi, which is enough for identification; grading still uses 600 dpi.
- Settings: Save stands out when something changed, and parallel requests are capped at 3.

Cardloader v0.1.0
The first public release of Cardloader, a desktop app that scans trading, sports and comic cards from a folder or a document scanner, identifies and grades them with the Ximilar API, and keeps every run as a session, on your computer and in Ximilar Cards Cloud.
What it does
- Identify cards with Ximilar's TCG ID, Sport ID, Comics ID and Slab ID, or let Auto detect the type. Front and back images are paired by name; graded slabs show the company, grade and certificate number.
- Grade cards: full grading (corners, edges, surface, centering), condition, or centering only.
- Scan with a RICOH/Fujitsu fi-8170 or any SANE/TWAIN document scanner, or watch a folder another app saves into.
- Identify offline with an optional local model (Liquid AI's LFM2/LFM2.5-VL, downloaded on demand).
- Sync to Ximilar Cards Cloud, continue a session from another computer, and import or export CSV.
- Pause, stop and resume sessions, even after a restart.
You need a Ximilar API token: paste it in Settings. Every analysed card costs API credits; see Ximilar pricing.
