AppimageMannger 1.0.3 is a rebuild release of the 1.0.2 application behavior. Package and CLI versions now report 1.0.3. There are no intentional application behavior, translation or dependency changes.

For a local installation that matches the published binaries byte for byte, install the DEB downloaded from this release. A separately compiled local build of the same source/version can have different binary hashes. Verify the download using SHA256SUMS; the build and release guide now explains checking the installed engine and both native helpers against the extracted download.

Local validation passed formatting, strict Clippy, 36 release-mode correctness tests, all 26 language/catalog/README checks, compilation of the real GPUI/Qt/GNOME frontends, DEB inspection and installation, and an isolated fixture scan. Local interactive testing is reserved for the user.

The tagged GitHub Actions workflow passed native x86_64 and aarch64 builds, package/install checks and release assembly. An initial x86_64 Ubuntu mirror download delay was resolved by rerunning the unfinished jobs. Downloads include DEB, RPM, AppImage, portable archives and installable pacman packages. Source and AUR recipe archives are included; recipe archives do not imply an AUR service publication. These are current Ubuntu 26.04 native builds; host glibc/toolkit requirements and GPU drivers still apply.

The release has 16 assets. All 15 checksum-manifest entries match GitHub asset digests; downloaded manifest, DEBs for both architectures and build-info files were independently checked. The published amd64 DEB was installed on the author's machine, and all 960 installed regular files match its extracted contents by SHA-256, including the engine and both native helpers. Existing managed AppImage hashes were unchanged. Final interactive testing remains with the user.

AppimageMannger 1.0.2 removes repeated desktop-file reads during library scans, accelerates translation lookup, and adds selectable content, image copying and author contact information to the three native interfaces.

• Faster library scans: one desktop snapshot per scan, reused command matching, cached sort keys and reused stable IDs. Existing quoting, metadata precedence, symlink checks and safe inspection behavior remain covered by tests.
• Faster translations: indexed English lookup, batched dynamic-pattern matching and reuse of the resolved locale. The original algorithm is used to check equivalent results across all 26 languages. Ely translation overrides no longer leak allocations.
• Copyable content: select text and press Ctrl+C in GPUI, Qt and GTK content views. Action captions offer copy menus. Right-click an application icon to copy it; safe SVGs can be rasterized to PNG. Native clipboard tools are declared package dependencies and included in AppImages.
• About and contacts: author, GitHub profile, email and personal website, with icons, concise translated descriptions, selectable values and link controls. Five new shared labels are translated in every locale.

Seven-sample release-mode scan measurements on x86_64, using inert fixtures and 500 unrelated desktop entries:

The separate 100,000-call translation comparison improved by 4.40×. These measurements describe the documented workloads; extraction costs and cold filesystem performance vary. Raw measurements and reproducibility.

Validation includes strict Clippy, formatting, 36 passing release tests, 26-language catalog/placeholder checks, actual clipboard readback, SVG copying, installed-window movement and preference persistence after restart. The local amd64 DEB was built and installed successfully. Tagged x86_64/aarch64 CI and release assembly also passed.

Downloads include DEB, RPM, AppImage, portable archives and real pacman packages for x86_64 and aarch64, plus source and AUR recipe archives. The 15 entries in SHA256SUMS were checked against all published asset digests. AUR recipes are release artifacts, not an AUR service publication. These are current Ubuntu 26.04 native builds; host glibc, toolkit dependencies and GPU drivers must satisfy the package requirements.
