Continuity Director v0.8.21

Maintained preview release focused on open-source stewardship, reproducible packaging, and verifiable project maintenance.

Highlights

  • 20 continuity, directing, quality, runtime, collaboration, export, and reliability nodes.
  • English, Simplified Chinese, and bilingual dashboard modes.
  • Public maintainer ownership, governance, roadmap, support, security, and release policies.
  • Structured bug, feature, and opt-in adoption reports.
  • Automated maintainer-health checks and weekly GitHub Actions dependency updates.
  • Version-driven installable ZIP creation with a published SHA-256 checksum.
  • Automatic GitHub prerelease creation after the validated version update reaches main.

Validation

The release workflow runs Python compilation, maintainer-health validation, ComfyUI lifecycle import, unit tests, release-structure validation, frontend syntax checks, dashboard smoke tests, and installable ZIP creation. CI covers Python 3.10, 3.11, and 3.12 before merge.

Installation

Download continuity-director-v0.8.21.zip, extract the included ComfyUI-ContinuityDirector folder into ComfyUI/custom_nodes, and restart ComfyUI.

Upgrade

Replace the existing plugin folder with the release package or run git pull in a Git installation. Keep a copy of production workflows before upgrading.

Known limitations

  • This remains a maintained preview release.
  • Automated CI does not replace clean Windows and real ComfyUI installation testing.
  • Continuity Director structures production state and decisions; it does not guarantee pixel-perfect character identity.
  • External models, ComfyUI versions, third-party nodes, and operating systems remain separate compatibility boundaries.

Compatibility reports are welcome through the structured GitHub Issue forms.
