This release is a transitional release for XPipe v24, which has also just been released. Its purpose is to migrate the XPipe vault from older formats to the new v24 format. You should only install this if you intend to upgrade to v24 right away. If you want to wait a bit, then you don't need to install this release yet.

When upgrading an existing install to v24+, note that:

  • Upgrading directly to v24 is only possible from v23.99. If you are running an earlier version of XPipe, please update first to v23.99 and launch it once to initiate a vault migration. After that is done, you can upgrade to v24.

  • If you are using something like a package manager, you might skip v23.99 as those usually install the latest version. In that case, you will be prompted by the newly installed v24 to download v23.99 and automatically run it once to migrate the vault.

  • Vaults with custom user passphrases and team vaults will remove all custom user passphrases as part of the migration. You can re-create those in v24 with the new encryption after the vault was migrated. If vault users were removed, the git sync is automatically disabled until then, so you won't push the vault in that state to the remote repository.

Once you installed this update, you can upgrade to v24 right away. You can find the changelog of v24 at https://github.com/xpipe-io/xpipe/releases.
