What's New in v1.2.0

🧮 Excel — Live Formulas (new in this release)

generate_excel now supports three ways to embed real Excel formulas:

1. Formula Template per row — new formulaTemplate column property

Generates =B2*C2 in row 2, =B3*C3 in row 3, etc. Change a value → whole column recalculates.

2. Inline formulas in row data — any value starting with = is treated as a formula

3. Absolute formula cells — formulas[] array now exposes numFmt in the MCP schema

Also exposed in schema: numFmt on columns[] items (was in TypeScript interface but hidden from Claude).

📊 PowerPoint Template — improvements

• Fixed encoding on Windows: PYTHONIOENCODING=utf-8 added to Python subprocess env
• Multi-line placeholder content now auto-detects bullet format per line (- item, • item, * item)
• Nested bullets supported ( - item → level 1)

🔒 Other changes

• Removed bundled .pptx templates from the repo — plugin is now fully template-agnostic (bring your own template via templatePath)
• Added assets/themes/ to .gitignore
