Release 2.0.0
AlarmGrid 2.0.0
AlarmGrid is the new independent identity of the industrial alarm management integration for Home Assistant.
This release establishes the final project name, Home Assistant domain, frontend namespace, sidebar panel, Lovelace card, services, storage keys, and Telegram callback namespace before public distribution.
Highlights
- New AlarmGrid branding and visual identity
- New Home Assistant integration domain:
alarmgrid - New service namespace:
alarmgrid.* - New Lovelace card:
custom:alarmgrid-card - New sidebar panel at
/alarmgrid - New frontend bundle and WebSocket namespace
- New storage namespace and history database name
- New
alarmgrid_*entity naming - Interactive Telegram alarm actions
- English and Italian localization
- DCS-style alarm lifecycle with ACK, shelving, disable/enable, history, and rule management
Alarm management
AlarmGrid provides a DCS-style alarm annunciator workflow for Home Assistant, including:
- Active and acknowledged alarms
- Cleared alarms
- Temporary shelving
- Persistent disable/enable
- Alarm history
- Priority handling
- Browser and media-player alarm sound
- Per-rule Home Assistant entities
- Manual rule creation and editing
- CSV import and export
- Bulk deletion of selected rules
Telegram
Telegram support includes:
- Optional outbound alarm notifications
- Multiple notification targets
- Global minimum priority filtering
- Per-rule notification policy:
- inherit global settings
- always notify
- never notify
- Interactive actions:
- ACK
- Shelve
- Unshelve
- Disable
- Enable
- English and Italian messages
- Multi-bot callback handling
AlarmGrid does not store Telegram bot tokens or credentials. Telegram configuration remains managed by Home Assistant.
Frontend
The frontend has been reworked around the new AlarmGrid identity:
- Sidebar console:
/alarmgrid - Panel custom element:
alarmgrid-panel - Lovelace card:
custom:alarmgrid-card - Frontend resource:
alarmgrid.js - Explicit frontend build cache-busting
- Responsive light/dark UI
- Compact dashboard alarm card
- Rule editor
- Alarm history export
Rule handling improvements
Rule changes no longer perform a full integration reload.
Creating, editing, importing, or deleting rules now refreshes only the rule-dependent runtime state and entities, keeping the AlarmGrid sidebar open and avoiding unnecessary integration restarts.
Breaking changes
This is a clean breaking release.
The previous pre-release project used the domain:
industrial_alarm_panel
AlarmGrid now uses:
alarmgrid
There is no automatic migration from earlier pre-release builds.
If you previously tested Industrial Alarm Panel:
- Remove the old integration from Home Assistant.
- Remove the old custom repository if necessary.
- Restart Home Assistant.
- Install AlarmGrid.
- Add the AlarmGrid integration again.
- Update Lovelace configuration to use:
type: custom:alarmgrid-card1.0.24
