Release list
Pin2 0.1.8
Pin2 for Mac — Apple silicon (M1 or later), macOS 13 or later.
Download Pin2-0.1.8-mac-arm64.dmg (Pin2-mac-arm64.dmg is the same file under a name that always points at the latest release), open it and drag Pin2 to Applications.
If macOS blocks it the first time, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway next to Pin2.
New in 0.1.8:
- Pin2 opens on its sign-in: continue with Google, or with your email and password. Nothing of anyone's shows before you sign in.
- Each account has its own data on this Mac — several people can share one computer, each signing in to their own Pin2. Sign out from the account menu at the bottom left.
- The sidebar shows who is signed in.
- The setup wizard no longer asks for the account, and an update found during setup now shows above it.
Pin2 0.1.6 and later install this version by themselves (Settings → Software update → Check for updates, or at the next start).
Pin2 0.1.7
Pin2 for Mac — Apple silicon (M1 or later), macOS 13 or later.
Download Pin2-0.1.7-mac-arm64.dmg (Pin2-mac-arm64.dmg is the same file under a name that always points at the latest release), open it and drag Pin2 to Applications.
If macOS blocks it the first time, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway next to Pin2.
New in 0.1.7: Pin2 starts with your Pin2 account. The first step of the setup asks you to sign in (or create an account) on the Pin2 server, and Pin2 checks that account with the server every time it starts. The server's address is built in — Settings → Remote is gone, replaced by Settings → Pin2 account, which shows who you are signed in as.
Pin2 0.1.6 installs this version by itself: it asks Ignore or Install when it starts (or use Settings → Software update → Check for updates).
Pin2 0.1.6
Pin2 for Mac — Apple silicon (M1 or later), macOS 13 or later.
Download Pin2-0.1.6-mac-arm64.dmg (Pin2-mac-arm64.dmg is the same file under a name that always points at the latest release), open it and drag Pin2 to Applications.
If macOS blocks it the first time, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway next to Pin2.
New in 0.1.6: updates install inside Pin2. When a new version comes out, Pin2 asks Ignore or Install; Install downloads it, installs it and restarts Pin2 on the new version — no browser, no DMG.
Copies of 0.1.5 and older find this version but cannot install it themselves: install 0.1.6 by hand once, and later versions install themselves.
Pin2 0.1.5
Pin2 for Mac — Apple silicon (M1 or later), macOS 13 or later.
Download Pin2-0.1.5-mac-arm64.dmg (Pin2-mac-arm64.dmg is the same file under a name that always points at the latest release), open it and drag Pin2 to Applications.
If macOS blocks it the first time, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway next to Pin2.
