Accounts for Codex 0.2.3
Accounts for Codex 0.2.3
This release adds direct Sub2API account export imports and repairs ChatGPT refresh metadata during import and account switching.
Changes
- Add a dedicated Sub2API JSON import option to the desktop import dialog.
- Import Sub2API OpenAI OAuth account exports directly into the native account registry.
- Preserve aliases and locally cached usage data when imported accounts already exist.
- Populate missing ChatGPT refresh metadata so imported accounts remain active after switching and restarting Codex.
- Repair older imported snapshots automatically when they are activated.
Validation
- The supplied Sub2API export imported all 22 accounts successfully in an isolated registry.
- Frontend tests, Rust tests, formatting, Clippy, and the full multi-platform CI passed.
- macOS arm64 and x64 apps, DMGs, and ZIPs are Developer ID signed, Apple notarized, stapled, and Gatekeeper accepted.
- Windows x64 and ARM64 installers passed native install, launch, and uninstall smoke tests.
- Windows installers do not yet have Authenticode signatures, so Windows may show a SmartScreen warning on first launch.

Accounts for Codex 0.2.2
Accounts for Codex 0.2.2
This maintenance release fixes Windows account loading, ChatGPT sign-in persistence, and account imports.
Fixes
- Load existing registries that contain nullable provider model metadata instead of showing an empty account list.
- Report browser sign-in success only after credentials and the account registry are saved successfully.
- Repair damaged registries from a valid backup without dropping provider account metadata.
- Prefer the Windows user profile account store while preserving compatibility with legacy HOME-based stores.
- Debounce registry file notifications to avoid transient empty account views during atomic updates.
- Launch the Windows desktop application without an accompanying console window.
Validation
- The affected Windows registry fixture now loads all existing ChatGPT and provider accounts.
- A live CodexHub share-link import completed successfully and survived a full registry reload.
- Windows x64 and ARM64 installers passed native architecture checks plus install, launch, and uninstall smoke tests.
- macOS arm64 and x64 apps and DMGs are Developer ID signed, Apple notarized, stapled, and Gatekeeper accepted.
- Full multi-platform CI: https://github.com/xuliang2024/codex-auth/actions/runs/29161030993
