Overview

This session completed two homepage UI fixes: swapping legend order for rainfall/lightning count and fixing rainfall tooltip overlap with the right-side legend.

Goal: Swap the display order of Rainfall (mm/h) and Lightning Count inside the homepage legend.
Implementation: Reordered the two legend blocks in the Gradient Legend section of index.html while keeping pointer element IDs unchanged (legend-rainfall-pointer, legend-count-pointer) so existing weather_v2.js bindings remain intact.

Tech stack / parameters: Flask Jinja2 template; front-end DOM order update only, no backend/config changes.

Goal: Prevent the Rainfall (S44) help tooltip from being covered by the right legend panel in desktop layout.
Implementation: Updated tooltip positioning classes to keep centered behavior on mobile (left-1/2 -translate-x-1/2) and switch to right-aligned left-expansion on sm+ screens (sm:left-auto sm:right-0 sm:translate-x-0).

Tech stack / parameters: Tailwind responsive utility classes; no API/logic changes.

Issue: The rainfall tooltip expanded into the right column and got visually blocked by the legend area.
Resolution: Applied responsive alignment so desktop tooltip expands leftward away from the legend while preserving mobile readability.

Verified legend order text positions in template: Lightning Count now appears before Rainfall (mm/h) in the legend.
Verified tooltip class update exists: sm:left-auto sm:right-0 sm:translate-x-0.
No automated tests were run for this change set; validation was done through targeted static template checks.
