v0.3.20261020
Data refresh: e-Gov 2026-10-20 via jlawcite 2.5.0. npm: jp-law-mcp@0.3.20261020
v0.3.0
- The server tells the AI to check the citations in its answer with verify_citations before answering, and to read articles with get_article before describing them
- Prompts: check_document (check a document's law citations and list fixes), article_at_date (the article in force on a date and later amendments), amendment_impact (provisions citing an article)
- verify_citations checks the numbers of the five NTA basic notices (所得税・法人税・消費税法・相続税法・財産評価基本通達, also 所基通・法基通 …): all 314 numbers the NTA cites in its Q&A are found and all 310 altered numbers are flagged; the list was collected once from the NTA website (2026-10-22)
- Other notices, 判例・条例・告示 are listed as not checked, instead of skipping them silently; reads tax abbreviations (措法・措令・所法・所令・法法・消法・相法・通法・徴法 …); an inferred law falls back to the one law named in the text that has the article
- get_article lists the 施行令・施行規則 articles that cite an act's article (in the NTA gold, 455 of 543 delegated provisions are in the list when the act's article is read)
- verify_citations detail=true returns the cited paragraph or item up to 600 characters, to check the claim against the text; with detail=true it also notes when a threshold in the claim (5,000万円を超える, 5年以内, 6か月, 5%) differs from the same kind of number in the cited articles (on the NTA answers: 6 of 54 sentences noted, 2 of them amounts changed by later amendments; 85.4% of altered numbers noted)
- Renamed laws: old titles and titles coming with pending amendments resolve in every tool, with a note
- Data: e-Gov snapshot 2026-10-20 via jlawcite 2.5.0
v0.2.2
- verify_citations reads citations in AI-written text better: 同法施行令 / 同施行令 / 措置法施行規則 resolve to the act's order or rules; 本文・ただし書 inside an enumeration keep the law; a bare 第N条 is attributed to the law named just before in the same paragraph as an inference, marked as such, and a missing article there is ⚠ rather than ❌; a missing article shows the last article of the law
- Remote connector: the rate limit counts tool calls only (connection handshakes are not counted)
- Evaluation: test re-run once after the change: gold articles found 100% (1,261/1,261), false alarms 0.68% (6/881); on 100 AI-written answers the share of citations checked rose from 85.8% to 93.1% (held-out half, eval/gate_eval.mjs)
- Data unchanged: e-Gov snapshot 2026-10-20 via jlawcite 2.5.0
v0.2.1
v0.2.0
- Many users behind one remote connector: e-Gov relay with CDN caching (the same query reaches e-Gov once), law names resolved from the bundled dictionary first, rate limit per user (source IP +
?u=) with a per-IP cap - Run locally:
npx -y jp-law-mcp(stdio, Node.js 20+), or the Claude Desktop extension (.mcpb) from the latest release (the 0.2.0 file was removed; use v0.2.2 or later) - Data: e-Gov snapshot 2026-10-20 via jlawcite 2.5.0, refreshed daily from the latest jlawcite snapshot
