Screencap now puts you back in a thread. Press ⌥Space in any app to see the threads you left, each with what you were doing and a preview of the screen as you left it. Choose one and press Return, and Resume brings back what it had open: the browser tab, the Claude Code session and the windows you were working in, leaving each where it is. The thread you were in before is already chosen, so going back to it takes two keys.

Resume

What comes back. In Dia, Chrome and Safari, each page in the tab that holds it, and a page you closed opens again. In the Claude app, the Claude Code session you were in. In any other app, the window you were in, found by its title. Firefox can't be scripted, so it only comes forward. When something can't be brought back, a note under the menu bar says what; otherwise Resume shows nothing.

In the palette. The arrow keys or typing choose a thread. Tab shows the places Return will bring back, ⌘⌫ drops one that doesn't belong to the thread and ⌘Z puts it back, and ⌘K splits a thread that holds two pieces of work.

Permission. To select a page, Screencap asks once for each browser whether it may control it. If you declined, allow it in Settings → Resume.

Settings → Resume. Turn Resume off, choose another shortcut, or restore a place you dropped. When another app already holds ⌥Space, the palette opens with ⌥⌘R.

How it chooses. Resume knows a thread's places from the app, window and page smart capture recorded while you worked on it. Of many pages from one part of a site, such as streams, episodes or games, it brings back only the latest.

This version installs itself on copies of 2.1.0. Screencap-2.2.0.dmg is the download for a new install, Screencap-2.2.0.zip holds the same app, and Screencap-2.2.0.sha256 their checksums.
