Screencap sorts your day again. On 17 October, OpenRouter withdrew Perplexity's pplx-decider-v1.1-27b, the decision model Screencap asks where one activity ends and which thread it belongs to. From about 13:00 UTC no new activity was made. Screenshots were still saved the whole time, so nothing is lost: once this version is installed, it sorts the hours it missed on its own, as it will after any future outage once a model answers again.

  • Screencap now asks Perplexity's pplx-decider-v1.2. If it fails or is withdrawn, the smaller pplx-decider-flash-v1.2 is asked, then OpenAI's gpt-6-luna-decisions. Every request still goes with zero data retention. OpenRouter doesn't offer that for Luna's decision model yet, so Screencap skips it, and starts asking it on its own once OpenRouter does.
  • If sorting stops for ten minutes or more, the menu-bar panel and the day in the main window say when it stopped and why.

On five stretches of real use labelled by hand, v1.2 places activity boundaries a little less well than v1.1 did: a mean F1 of 0.73 against 0.77. Thread assignment wasn't measured again.

Copies of 2.1.0 and later find this version at their daily check and install it the next time the screen locks, or right away from Check for Updates… in Screencap's menu-bar menu. Screencap-2.2.3.dmg is the download for a new install, Screencap-2.2.3.zip is what installed copies update from, and Screencap-2.2.3.sha256 holds their checksums.
