What's New

Image support in notes

• Paste screenshots directly into a note — images are saved automatically and a Markdown link is inserted.
• Drag and drop image files from the file explorer into a note.
• Insert images via file picker with Ctrl+Shift+I.
• Supported formats: PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP, SVG, BMP.
• Images sync to your private GitHub repo alongside notes and readings.
• Deleting a note automatically removes its associated images.

Faster load times

• Extension is now bundled with esbuild — VSIX is 10 files / ~890 KB (down from 1713 files / 3 MB).

Bug Fixes

• Images now render correctly in Markdown Preview (including Markdown Preview Enhanced). Images are stored inside the notes directory so previewer webviews can access them.

Configuration

• New setting: ynote.maxImageSizeMB (default: 10) — warns when an image exceeds the size limit.
