Installation

See Architecture § Platform support for exactly which features work on which target before picking a version.

NeoForge

1. Install NeoForge for your target Minecraft version (1.20.4, 1.21.1, or 1.21.10).
2. (Optional) Install Simple Voice Chat into mods/ for calls and voice messages. The mod loads and works normally without it - calls/voice messages are simply unavailable.
3. Drop the built crazyphone-*.jar for that version into mods/.
4. Launch the game, obtain a Crazy Phone (creative inventory, or have a server admin /crazyphone give <number> you one), and register a number.

Fabric

1. Install Fabric Loader 0.16.9+ and Fabric API, matching your target Minecraft version (1.20.1 or 1.21.1).
2. Drop the built crazyphone-*.jar for that version into mods/.
3. Launch the game, obtain a Crazy Phone, and register a number.

No Simple Voice Chat on Fabric yet - see Architecture § Platform support for what that means feature-wise.

First run

The first time you right-click a fresh, unregistered phone you're walked through a two-step registration: pick a 3-digit number and a display name, then set a password (there's an on-screen warning that this password is visible to server admins - it's not meant as real security). After that, every future right-click goes to the lock screen (PIN sign-in) unless the phone is still open from a previous use.
