A reliability release: Dock Preview no longer gets stuck open, live previews use a fraction of the CPU, and you now control how often Clippy checks for updates.

🪟 Dock Preview

  • Fixed the preview occasionally staying open. Moving the cursor away — even during the panel's opening animation — now always dismisses it. The dismiss logic was rewritten around a single self-healing watchdog instead of multiple racing mechanisms.
  • Live previews are much lighter. Frame processing moved off the main thread, and only the thumbnail you're hovering streams live — the rest stay as crisp static captures. With a 6-window app that's one active stream instead of six.

🔄 Updates, on your terms

  • New: "Check for updates" frequency in Settings → General — Daily, Every 3 days, Weekly, Monthly, or Never (#10). "Never" turns off background checks entirely; the manual Check Now button always works, so you stay in full control of when Clippy touches the network.

Everything still runs on your Mac. No account, no cloud, no tracking.
