MeTube 2.5.1: audio only, a new icon and a crash fix.

  • Audio only: tap the headphones at the top left of the player to listen without the video. No video is downloaded, the thumbnail stays on screen, and Home keeps the sound playing instead of opening a picture-in-picture window. Tap again for the video.
  • New icon: a red heart with a play button, on black.
  • No more crash after picture-in-picture at high quality: video memory now has a hard limit tied to what the app may use.
  • Settings in fullscreen: the settings and More menus keep the status and navigation bars hidden and show one frosted panel.
  • Diagnostic logs are named metube-diagnostics.

Which file? Most phones: MeTube_2.5.1_arm64-v8a.apk. Older 32-bit phones: armeabi-v7a. Not sure: universal. Installs over any earlier MeTube; the app also offers it as an update.

Built on NewTube and SmartTube.
