ScientificPlotter 1.1.0

ScientificPlotter 1.1.0 is a stability and rendering-quality update for the native scientific
visualization app on Apple Silicon Macs. It promotes the interaction improvements validated through
the 1.0.1 Beta channel to Stable.

Improvements

  • Makes XY Fit navigation responsive and reliable, including rapid consecutive drags.
  • Restores Scatter and Line + Scatter marker rendering; Marker Every previews now refresh correctly
    after the slider is released.
  • Improves 2D Contour first-drag response and repeated-drag smoothness without reducing axis tick
    update frequency.
  • Keeps the 2D Contour colorbar, coordinate frame, and axis labels visible and stable during
    repeated navigation.
  • Removes transient switchbacks when changing between XY and Contour plot types.
  • Standardizes the Fit canvas background to white and aligns distributed-build rendering with the
    macOS 26.5 SDK toolchain.
  • Preserves independent Stable/Beta selection, visible Beta qualification expiry, and no-downgrade
    behavior when returning from a newer Beta build to Stable.

Requirements

  • macOS 13 or later.
  • Apple Silicon (arm64).
  • MacTeX is optional.

Installation

Open the DMG and drag ScientificPlotter to Applications. This release is independently distributed
without Apple Developer ID signing or notarization, so macOS may require Open Anyway in
System Settings > Privacy & Security after the first network download.

Current scope

  • The interface is currently available in English. Simplified Chinese is planned for a later
    release.
  • Beta access requires a valid invite and never changes the selected update channel automatically.

ScientificPlotter 1.0.0

ScientificPlotter 1.0.0 is the first stable release of the native scientific visualization app
for Apple Silicon Macs.

Highlights

  • Import bounded CSV, TSV, and text data into versioned .splot project documents.
  • Create scatter, line, 2D contour, and lit 3D surface plots with interactive Fit and Actual views.
  • Compose multiple plots into Figures and configure axes, series, annotations, fonts, color maps,
    contour levels, isolines, and lighting.
  • Save and reopen independent multi-window projects with coordinated Open, Save, Save As, Close,
    Quit, Finder, Dock, and recent-document behavior.
  • Export plots and figures as PNG images or vector PDF documents.
  • Render system LaTeX when MacTeX is installed, with a built-in fallback when it is unavailable.
  • Receive Sparkle updates from the Stable channel, with an independently selectable,
    invite-protected Beta channel.
