Klimat 0.1.11 (early access)
This release adds cloud control for Panasonic Comfort Cloud and Samsung SmartThings. The tray app is explicitly named Klimat on macOS as well as in its menus.
Integrations
- Panasonic Comfort Cloud: Standard air conditioners with power, temperature, mode, and fan controls. Two-factor authentication codes can be entered during setup. Panasonic Aquarea heat pumps are not supported by this integration.
- Samsung SmartThings: Air conditioners that expose the standard SmartThings climate capabilities. The token must include device read (
r:devices) and command execution (x:devices) permissions. New personal access tokens normally expire after 24 hours, so replace the token when it expires.
Cloud account and device behavior has not been verified against physical Panasonic or Samsung units. Check that the unit is available in its official service and confirm each control after setup.

Klimat 0.1.10
What's new
- Run macOS as a menu bar utility with no Dock icon. The tray menu and popup remain available.
Validation
- GitHub Actions built Linux x64 (
.deb,.rpm), Windows x64 (.msi,.exe), Intel macOS (.dmg), and Apple Silicon macOS (.dmg). All four jobs passed. - Confirmed the installed Apple Silicon app is registered by macOS as a UIElement and is running from
/Applications/Klimat.app. - The app remains an early-access prerelease. Cloud integrations and actual device setting changes still need broader verification.

What's new

- Use Klimat as the application and executable name.
Validation
- GitHub Actions built Linux x64 (
.deb,.rpm), Windows x64 (.msi,.exe), Intel macOS (.dmg), and Apple Silicon macOS (.dmg). All four jobs passed. - The local Apple Silicon DMG was installed at
/Applications/Klimat.appand~/Applications/Klimat.app. - Mitsubishi status reads and same-value writes previously succeeded on two MSZ-LN35VG2W units. A real setting change has not been verified.
- Cloud integrations need testing with the corresponding manufacturer accounts and devices. This remains an early-access prerelease.

Klimat 0.1.8
What's new
- Wait for the Mitsubishi adapter to apply a command before reading back status, avoiding stale values immediately after control changes.
- Continue to support local MAC-577IF-2E control, MELCloud, LG ThinQ Connect, Midea-compatible units, Gree, and supported local Daikin adapters.
Validation
- Frontend and bundled macOS adapter build successfully.
- The 0.1.7 prerelease's adapter status reads and same-value writes succeeded on two Mitsubishi MSZ-LN35VG2W units.
- A real change to a device setting has not yet been tested. This remains an early-access prerelease.
- Linux x64, Windows x64, Intel macOS, and Apple Silicon macOS installer builds are produced by GitHub Actions.

Klimat 0.1.7
What's new
- Added local Mitsubishi Electric control through the MAC-577IF-2E Wi-Fi adapter, based on the MIT-licensed
pymitsubishiproject. - Added common power, target temperature, operation mode, and fan controls.
- Added setup guidance in all 20 supported interface languages.
- Kept existing ECHONET Lite profiles readable.
Validation
Status reads succeeded on two Mitsubishi MSZ-LN35VG2W units using the local adapter. On both units, power, temperature, mode, and fan write commands also returned successfully when they repeated the current values (on, 23 °C, cool, auto), and the reported state stayed the same. No setting was changed during these checks. Writes using new values have not yet been checked physically, so this remains an early-access prerelease.
The Linux x64, Windows x64, Intel macOS, and Apple Silicon macOS installer jobs passed in GitHub Actions.
