Feature release of OxiTide — a high-resolution TIDAL player for Linux, written entirely in Rust.

What's new

Added

  • Now-playing indicator on the Home page. The cover of the currently playing track shows a five-bar glyph on a translucent scrim, following track changes live.
  • Snap packaging — a Snap Store release is in preparation.

Install

Download the package for your distribution below and install it with your package manager, e.g.:

sudo apt install ./oxitide_0.1.4_amd64_debian13.deb # Debian / Ubuntu
sudo dnf install ./oxitide-0.1.4-1.fedora.x86_64_fedora44.rpm # Fedora
sudo pacman -U oxitide-0.1.4-1-x86_64_archlinux.pkg.tar.zst # Arch

Arch users can also install from the AUR: yay -S oxitide-bin.

Requires a TIDAL subscription. Debian 13+, Ubuntu 24.04+, Fedora 43+, Arch, and openSUSE Tumbleweed are covered (Debian 12 is not supported).

OxiTide is proprietary freeware — free to download and use. Third-party open-source components are acknowledged in the THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES file shipped with each package.

OxiTide is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by TIDAL.
