Brainstack v1.0.58
Brainstack live-runtime hardening, compact diagnostics, and adaptive evidence update.
Measured result:
- Memory-kernel release gate: pass.
- Live Hermes crash-regression guard: pass, 0 Python/Hermes coredumps since the active Bestie container started.
- Live crash-marker scan: pass, 0
SIGSEGV,exit_code=-11, prompt NameError, Chroma filter error, module import error, or stalegpt-5.2-codexmarkers. - Model-facing diagnostic tool surface: pass, bounded live output for
brainstack_stats,brainstack_latency_status, andbrainstack_proactive_status. - Tier2 route observability: pass, current route is reported through Brainstack status instead of requiring terminal inspection.
- Chroma semantic retrieval compatibility: pass with upstream-compatible filter shape.
- Safe proactive runtime install: pass with explicit agent-facing mode control and no hidden delivery.
- Adaptive evidence performance completion: pass with fresh Hermes source parity.
What changed:
brainstack_statsnow returns compact model-facing status instead of dumping full doctor/persistent-bloat reports into the model context.- Added
brainstack_latency_statusfor latency/self-diagnosis questions so the agent does not need config-file search to answer why Brainstack may be slow. brainstack_proactive_statusis compact and explicitly says Brainstack/proactive status does not require file/config search.- Removed the temporary Hermes
search_filestimeout patch from the Brainstack installer and release gate; live Hermes now runs without that workaround. - Release gating now blocks unbounded Brainstack model-tool output instead of relying on a Hermes search timeout cap.
- Tier2/Hindsight defaults now follow Hermes-managed routing instead of a baked-in model choice.
- Brainstack status exposes the effective Tier2 provider/model route for live agent answers.
- Chroma semantic filters now use upstream-compatible compound filter structure.
- Hermes proactive extension installs by default with safe, inspectable behavior and explicit mode control.
- The installer repairs the earlier Hermes prompt-wiring regression path.
- Release gating blocks if the live Bestie runtime shows native crash markers, new Python/Hermes coredumps, terminal breakage, venv import failure, Chroma exception-crash behavior, or unbounded model-facing diagnostics.
User-facing effect:
- Bestie should answer Brainstack/Tier2/proactive/latency status using bounded Brainstack tools, without broad diagnostic dumps or unnecessary config-file search.
- Bestie can answer the current Tier2 route from Brainstack status and should not rely on stale model history.
- The live memory kernel has stronger protection against silent degraded release states.
- Proactive support is installed, inspectable, and agent-controllable without hidden live delivery.
- Source/runtime/release parity is checked before release is allowed.
