Homebrew tap
brew install --cask ygnstudio/ygn/blinker
brew update
brew upgrade --cask ygnstudio/ygn/blinker也可下载本页的 Blinker-v0.7.0.dmg,将 Blinker.app 拖入“应用程序”。

What's new
- Status icons and audio controls: show battery, network and volume in the menu bar or Dock, customize their appearance and panel order, and adjust volume, mute or switch audio outputs from the status panel.
- Minimize and restore: optionally click the frontmost app's Dock icon again to minimize its windows, or use the configurable Control-Option-D shortcut to show the desktop and restore only the windows that operation minimized.
- Duo lid effect: enable an optional effect on compatible MacBook displays, with angle calibration, recommended settings, adjustable animation speed and continuous opening/closing transitions.
- Settings organization: keyboard switching, Dock hover, shared preview content and appearance now have separate sections, while status-icon and Duo controls are grouped by purpose and the window-enhancement pause command states its scope.
- Shortcut recording: cleared bindings stay cleared after relaunch, and recording a combination temporarily releases the action shortcuts so recording does not also trigger them.
Install and update
Once the Homebrew tap adopts 0.7.0, install or update with:
# First installation
brew install --cask ygnstudio/ygn/blinker
# Existing installation: quit Blinker first
brew update
brew upgrade --cask ygnstudio/ygn/blinkerYou can also download Blinker-v0.7.0.dmg from this release and drag Blinker.app into Applications. Packages are ad-hoc signed, without Developer ID signing or Apple notarization. If macOS blocks launch, verify the source and choose System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway; see Apple's instructions.
Review permissions in Settings → Privacy and Permissions after upgrading. Window actions require Accessibility; thumbnails and Duo share optional Screen Recording access. An upgrade can require granting access again; see the permission troubleshooting guide. Duo stays off by default, and applying its recommended settings preserves the enabled state and calibrated angle.
Validation scope and limits
Local checks passed 434 Swift tests with no skips, 21 packaging and release-validation tests, SwiftLint and SwiftFormat. Native settings were checked in a local development build on macOS 26.6.2, Apple Silicon. Remote CI and the release workflow passed; the downloaded DMG and Homebrew-installed app were also checked for architectures, metadata, signature, resources and bundled licenses.
Homebrew upgraded the local installation from 0.6.1 to 0.7.0, and the process was confirmed running from the release installation path. Preference values were preserved. UI interaction checks have not been repeated on the installed release.
The deployment target is macOS 15 or later, with Apple Silicon and Intel architectures in release builds. Minimum-OS and Intel runtime testing, fresh-account authorization and complete performance acceptance remain incomplete; universal compilation does not establish compatibility across these environments.
Duo requires a compatible lid-angle sensor and the built-in display. It preserves normal lid-close sleep, processes frames only in memory without audio or saved recordings, and is not a privacy screen. Pause from settings or the menu; pausing with Esc while another app is active requires Accessibility.
Dock minimization and Show Desktop skip fullscreen and previously minimized windows; changing Spaces discards the previous batch's restore eligibility. Bluetooth symbols describe the current audio output, without nearby-device scanning or pairing, and some output devices do not expose volume or mute controls. Custom tab bars and other Spaces may remain undiscoverable; inactive tabs and minimized windows use cached images when available, otherwise icons and titles. Experimental workspaces restore existing window arrangements, not documents or sessions.
License and source
Blinker uses GPL-3.0-only, which permits commercial use and paid distribution subject to its obligations; see LICENSE and NOTICE. This release includes the preserved Apache 2.0 notices for Status Trio and MIT license for Duo Effect, also available offline in About.
