projoint 1.1.3 is now available on CRAN.

Choice-mapping safeguards

  • Added .choice_map to reshape_projoint() for an explicit, auditable mapping from exported choice labels to profile positions 1 and 2.
  • Added fail-fast validation for invalid, ambiguous, case-mismatched, whitespace-altered, and missing choices.
  • Added respondent-ID, argument, and post-reshape choice-integrity checks.
  • Improved read_Qualtrics() support for current and legacy Qualtrics metadata rows.
  • Added regression tests for reordered response columns, reversed profile mappings, malformed choices, missing choices, and duplicate respondent IDs.
  • Updated the website to explain how exact exported response values should be mapped to Qualtrics profile positions.

Notes

This update was released promptly after 1.1.2 because it addresses a potentially consequential correctness issue in choice-to-profile mapping.
