I'm happy to announce after a long wait, AutoLogout 1.0 has launched! - This release is a complete rewrite, moving to a new UI framework which better supports HiDPI, Dark theme, and other modern features.
This release drastically improves the first-time setup wizard and settings windows.
This release adds Arm64 native releases, has much better update notifications, and paves the road to future Linux and Mac OS ports!
What's included
This version of AutoLogout offers to enable Autostart and requires the supervisor to set a password the first time it is launched. All restrictions are off by default until you configure them in the control panel. The First-Time Setup experience will teach you how to do all of this.
The user is able to pause the session at any time using the pause button. If they do, the screen is blanked, and audio is muted until they resume the session.
If you click "Connect to your phone" in the control panel, the app will start syncing with a server whenever the computer is online. To disconnect from the server and delete your data, simply press "Sign out of all devices".
Installation instructions
Novice users
The best way to install AutoLogout is by opening the command line and running winget install Yiays.AutoLogout.
Otherwise, download and run AutoLogoutSetup-x64.exe or AutoLogoutSetup-arm64.exe from below depending on your system architecture.
Advanced users
You may download Autologout-Portable-x64.zip or AutoLogout-Portable-arm64.zip if you prefer. Extract it to a folder that all users can access, then change permissions so that only administrators can modify the files.
