Runner 0.16.0

Runner 0.16.0 is a feature release for macOS and Windows on top of 0.15.3.

Before you upgrade

This release changes the database: each chat and mission session now stores the settings it was started with, and the old per-session runtime, model and effort columns are removed. Once 0.16.0 has opened your data, earlier Runner versions can no longer read your chats and missions. To keep the option of going back, quit Runner (choose Stop them if it asks) and copy runner.db, runner.db-wal and runner.db-shm from ~/Library/Application Support/com.wycstudios.runner (macOS) or %APPDATA%\com.wycstudios.runner (Windows) before upgrading. New

• Add and remove roles while a mission runs. From the mission rail, add a configured role with its own task to a running mission, or remove a worker. A removed worker stops and leaves the rail and message routing, and its history is kept. The feed shows each join and leave, and the team stays as you left it when Runner's background service restarts. The CLI gains runner mission add-role and runner mission remove-role. (#562, #889)

Bug fixes

• Editing a role no longer changes sessions it already started. Each chat and mission session now records the command, arguments, environment, model, effort and prompt it was started with, and Resume and fork reuse them. Restart on a mission slot still picks up the role's current settings with that slot's overrides. Existing sessions are converted on first launch. (#878, #881)
• A stopped mission ends its feed with a divider. The feed shows MISSION STOPPED · <time>, styled like the start divider, instead of a raw event line. (#881)
• Returning to a mission reopens Feed. A mission you left on Feed reopened on the last session tab you had viewed; it now reopens on Feed. (#883, #885)
• Mission tabs stay inside the content column. With the mission rail open and several session tabs, the last tab no longer paints over the rail. Tabs shrink to fit, and the tab strip scrolls once they reach their minimum width. (#888)

Download and upgrade

• macOS, Apple Silicon: download Runner-0.16.0-arm64.dmg, or update through Sparkle. The app is signed and notarized.
• Windows x64, Windows 10 version 1809 or later: download Runner-Setup-0.16.0.20261013.0834-x64.exe. The installer, app, and CLI sidecars are Authenticode-signed by Open Source Developer Yicheng Wang. You can also update through Settings → Updates → Update, then choose Install and restart. Settings, chats, and missions are retained.

Windows ARM64, Intel Macs, and Linux are not supported.

问题修复

• 已停止的任务在动态末尾显示分隔线。 动态中显示 MISSION STOPPED · <time>，样式与开始分隔线一致，不再显示原始事件行。 (#881)
• 返回任务时重新打开 Feed。 以前，离开时停留在 Feed 的任务再次打开时，会回到上次查看的会话标签；现在会重新打开 Feed。 (#883, #885)
• 任务标签不再超出内容区域。 任务侧栏打开且有多个会话标签时，最后一个标签不再覆盖在侧栏上。标签会缩小以适应宽度，缩到最小宽度后标签栏可以横向滚动。 (#888)
