Runner v0.4.5
Runner 0.4.5 adds a fourth agent runtime and lets crew slots pin their own model.
What's New
- TRAE CLI is now a supported runtime. Runner ships a first-class adapter for
traeclialongside Claude Code, Codex, and Qoder — direct chats, crew slots, conversation resume, model and effort flags, permission modes, and one-click MCP registration into~/.trae/traecli.toml. TRAE CLI is an internal-edition binary, so it isn't publicly installable; the runtime simply appears oncetraecliis on yourPATH, and Settings → Agents shows its detected path with the usual override field. The README now carries a Supported agent runtimes table covering all four adapters and what each one supports. - Crew slots can override the model, not just the runtime. A slot could already run a different engine than its runner template; now it can also pin a different model. The slot summary shows the effective engine and model together —
codex (model gpt-5-codex)— and setting it on the slot never rewrites the underlying runner, so one template can serve several crews at different model tiers.
Improvements
- Switching a runner's runtime no longer leaves a stale model behind. Changing the runtime on a runner used to keep whatever model name was already in the field, which meant a value from the previous engine's catalog could be handed to a CLI that doesn't recognize it. The model now resets when the runtime changes, in both the create form and the edit drawer.
