Runner 0.7.2
A small feature release on the 0.7 line: file paths in terminal panes are links, and links finally tell you they are clickable.
New
- Open file links in your editor (#458). Paths agents print —
crates/runner-app/src/surfaces/panes.rs:1311in every summary, cargo's--> src/foo.rs:12:5, baregit statuspaths — are ⌘-clickable in every terminal pane. Runner links a path only when it resolves to a real file against the session's working directory, soand/orand version strings never underline. Settings → General → Open file links in picks Zed, VS Code, or Cursor (through their CLIs, at the cited line and column) or the default app. A missing CLI shows where its installer lives in the editor, and the click falls back toopen. OSC 8file://links fromls, eza, orrg --hyperlink-formatopen the same way. - Links tell you they are links. Rest the pointer on a path or URL and it underlines; after half a second a tooltip names the gesture — "⌘-click to open in Zed", "⌘-click to open in browser". Hold ⌘ and the underline turns accent, the pointer becomes a hand, and the tooltip names the target: "Open in Zed · panes.rs:1311". URLs never had a hint before.
Fixes
- Link hover now works in Claude Code and Codex. The ⌘-hover underline was wiped on every repaint by a gpui hitbox timing detail, so TUIs that redraw constantly never showed it — clicks worked, the hover did not. It shows everywhere now.
Upgrading
Sparkle offers this update to every 0.7.x install; older installs on the 0.6.x line pick it up through the normal update path. The editor defaults to Default app so the first ⌘-click works without any CLI; pick Zed, VS Code, or Cursor in Settings → General.
