v0.2.2 — Effect TSGO parity

Choose a tag to compare

@danieljvdm danieljvdm released this 24 Oct 20:30

Align standalone diagnostics and Oxlint integration with @effect/tsgo@0.56.1 (#8).

  • Match configured file coverage, project ownership, plugin defaults, skipped-file behavior, and summary counts.
  • Fix Unicode path handling for source files and Oxlint editor overlays.
  • Support oxlint-tsgolint 7.0.2004 and 7.0.2005 with Oxlint 1.87.0–1.89.0.

CLI behavior: standalone commands now report Effect diagnostics by default, matching Effect TSGO. Add --type-check to include ordinary TypeScript diagnostics and their error exit status, preserving the combined check from earlier versions.

Effect editor code actions remain a separate follow-up in #5.

v0.2.1 — Parallel diagnostics

@danieljvdm danieljvdm released this 24 Oct 16:38

Effect diagnostics now run on tsrs's parallel checker pool, preserving file-to-checker affinity and diagnostic ordering. Thanks to Carlos de la Cruz for the implementation in #7.

  • Honor Oxlint's --threads N in both the wrapper and patched installations. Under an explicit limit, Rust and Go backend passes run sequentially; --threads 1 disables parallel compilation.
  • Add effect-tsrs diagnostics --singleThreaded for explicit single-threaded execution without editing the project config.
  • Correct single-worker benchmarks to explicitly select single-threaded compilation.

Effect quick fixes and suggestions remain tracked in #5.

Install with npm install -D @yielded/effect-tsrs@0.2.1. Reapply effect-tsrs patch --oxlint after upgrading if you use a patched Oxlint installation.

v0.2.0 — Oxlint integration

3f9d2d1

Native Effect diagnostics now work inside Oxlint.

  • Run effect-tsrs oxlint ., or use effect-tsrs patch --oxlint with existing Oxlint scripts and editor integrations. unpatch --oxlint restores the original files.
  • All 130 Effect rules execute in Rust. The existing effecttsgo/* rule names, presets, schema, severity overrides and suppression comments are supported.
  • Standard TypeScript rules and --type-check run through the installed stock oxlint-tsgolint backend concurrently.
  • Supports unsaved editor buffers, project references and Unicode diagnostic ranges.

Install:

npm install --save-dev @yielded/effect-tsrs@0.2.0 oxlint@1.89.0 oxlint-tsgolint@7.0.2004

Enable the effecttsgo plugin and desired rules in your Oxlint configuration. See the README for an example.

Supported versions are Oxlint 1.87.0–1.89.0 and oxlint-tsgolint 7.0.2003–7.0.2004. Linux Oxlint integration requires glibc.

Effect quick fixes, fix suggestions and per-rule profiling remain for follow-up. Standard TypeScript fixes are supported through the stock backend.

The Effect correction port is tracked in #5.
