• Update the version-check skill from a real update run (#51): a same-day release can be the right call when the tracker is quiet and it fixes a regression you are already carrying; judge an hours-old release by dropping label:bug and is:open and ignoring Desktop/VS Code issue clusters; add a step that tests a model claim directly with --output-format json, since modelUsage reports the model that actually served the turn and the context window the client applies; and document that npm install -g fails on native installs, so use claude install X.Y.Z after checking which kind you have.
