Visual Studio installation

  1. Install TestRunnerJS nuget package into Sitecore Web Project using Package Manager Console:
    Install-Package Sitecore.TestRunnerJS
This command will download the package and copy all necessary files into specified project.
  2. Create folder for integration JS test fixture files in your project if it is not already exist.
By default TestRunnerJS expects that test fixture folder is located by following path: /sitecore/TestRunnerJS/tests
Default path can be easily changed by changing TestRunnerJS.RootTestFixturesFolder setting that is located in App_Config\Include\Sitecore.TestRunnerJS.config but it is highly recommended not to edit default setting values in this config and override them in your custom sitecore config instead.

Notes:

On package installation TestRunnerJS copies in background necessary files into project. You can see following output in Package Manager Console during this operation:

TestRunnerJS files location: solution_path\packages\Sitecore.TestRunnerJS.0.6.3\tools
Installation location: solution_path\project_name

On package restore due to nuget package limitation TestRunnerJS will not copy necessary files. In order to do this just close the Visual Studio, open solution again and open Package Manager Console. This will trigger TestRunnerJS package initialization and show output mentioned above.

Please take a look on sample application located here: https://github.com/ymorozov/Sitecore.TestRunnerJS/tree/master/samples It uses custom test folder location that is overridden in custom configuration file
