EgressView v1.3.5 - Multi-router monitoring
Highlights
- Monitor up to 10 Yamaha RTX and Cisco IOS routers in any combination
- Isolate polling failures per router and deduplicate shared connections while retaining every observer
- Configure routers from the L3/L4 settings UI with automatic migration from legacy Yamaha/Cisco settings
- Keep full history in SQLite while bounding the in-memory hot cache to 100,000 entries by default
- Fail closed when a verified pre-migration database backup cannot be created
Upgrade notes
- Node.js 22 or newer is required
- First startup migrates the database to schema v4 and legacy router settings to persistent router IDs
- Verified backups are created before migration; startup stops rather than proceeding without a valid backup
- Physical validation used one Cisco and one Yamaha device. Multi-router scheduling and failure isolation were additionally tested with 10 simulated routers; physical HA/failover is not claimed
Validation
- 1,132 unit tests
- 39 Playwright smoke tests passed (1 conditional skip)
- Node.js 22 and 24 CI
- 10-router / 10,000-observation load and failure-isolation gate
- ASH security scan, dependency audit, secret scan, and package dry-run
- EC2 production-sized database integrity and collection smoke tests
