nioh3fps 0.3.0

The first release of nioh3fps. It brings smooth camera and character motion to Nioh 3 when you play below 120 fps.

What it does

• Runs one game update per frame you see, sized to the real time that passed. The uneven hitches when you pan the camera are gone (100% of frames carry exactly one update, against 72% without the mod at about 94 fps).
• Keeps the game at its normal speed. Character movement, timers, held-button timers, turning speed and the time-of-day clock are all adjusted to match.
• Switches itself off during online and co-op sessions, menus, cutscenes and loading screens.

Controls

• F10 turns the fix on or off.
• F9 writes a marker into the log.
• Ctrl+F10 saves timing data for bug reports.

Installing

Extract dinput8.dll and nioh3fps.ini into your Nioh 3 folder, next to Nioh3.exe. To uninstall, delete those two files.

Good to know

• Tested on Nioh 3 version 2.0.2.0.
• Frame generation works, but some jitter may remain. For the smoothest result, play with frame generation off.
• Co-op hasn't been tested live yet.
