v1.0.0-rc.7
Pre-releaseFeatures
-
a fourth probe that stands in for the release notes nobody plans: written in one breath, trailing detail after detail, the kind of subject that a reviewer asks to be split and the author promises to split next time and never does (253da0d) (by yohimik, Claude Fable 5)
-
a probe whose subject describes, at deliberate and unhurried length, the way a paginated release card lets every one of these words survive onto the page where a single-line card would have cut them at the first ellipsis (5acbc6d) (by yohimik, Claude Fable 5)
A dogfooding probe: this subject and its siblings exist so the next
release candidate's card shows long entries wrapping to their full three
lines and pushing one another across page after page.
Fixes
-
a third probe, short (372329b) (by yohimik, Claude Fable 5)
-
a second probe, briefer than the first but still comfortably past the width of one card line, so the wrapped entries alternate with the short ones on the pages (3d18235) (by yohimik, Claude Fable 5)
-
a long entry wraps instead of losing its ending (dd5445e) (by yohimik, Claude Fable 5)
One line per entry was the single-page card's economy. A paginated card
can afford the truth: up to three lines each, then the multi-line clamp,
and an unbroken run breaks anywhere rather than escaping. A long entry
costing three lines is what pushes its neighbours onto the next page,
which is the point of having pages.
