Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.

First release.

adocfmt formats AsciiDoc files into one consistent layout without changing what they render.

What it does

  • Writes one sentence per line.
  • Puts one blank line between blocks.
  • Rewrites headings to the one-line form with = markers.
  • Writes list markers in one form and removes trailing whitespace.
  • Shortens block delimiters to the width their body allows.
  • Refuses a document it cannot read safely, and says why.

How to use it

  • adocfmt --check in CI, adocfmt --write to format in place.
  • A GitHub Action, binaries for Linux, macOS and Windows, and a Homebrew formula.

The formatting rules list every change adocfmt makes.
