Cue 1.3.1
Cue 1.3.1 is here, free for everyone. Today now tells you why a task is first.
Download
Cue-1.3.1-mac.zip: macOS 15 or later, Apple silicon and Intel.
Updating from 1.3? Choose Check for Updates… in the Cue menu. New to Cue? The install steps take about a minute.
New in 1.3.1
- See why a task is near the top. Today shows a short reason under each task, and in its tooltip.
- The same order everywhere. Your morning summary notification, wrap-up, the agenda export and Today's tips follow the same smart order as Today, and notifications update when that order changes.
Fixed
- Canvas items you deleted stay deleted, even if Canvas briefly drops them from your feed. Old deletion records clear themselves once the item has been gone from Canvas for 30 days.
- Safer requests: there is now a limit on one capture field.
Everything from 1.3.0 is included. Full history is in the changelog.

Cue 1.3.0
Cue 1.3 is here, free for everyone. A fresh look, and your timer, working hours and weekly review now match on every Mac.
Download
Cue-1.3.0-mac.zip: macOS 15 or later, Apple silicon and Intel.
Updating from 1.2? Choose Check for Updates… in the Cue menu. New to Cue? The install steps take about a minute.
New in 1.3
- A new look. A new pixel Q logo and app icon, and a redesign of Today, capture, the task editor, focus, history, the weekly review and Settings. There is also a Text size setting in Settings → Appearance.
- Your timer follows you. Time logged on a task and your working hours sync between Macs. Logged time never goes down unless you reset it.
- At risk matches everywhere. Q uses your working hours and logged time, so it agrees with the badge on your Mac. When something is at risk, Q offers to start a focus session on it right from Today.
- Weekly review matches on every Mac. Logged time and the exam flag sync.
- Focus from anywhere. Say "focus on physics for 50 minutes" or "stop focusing". The time counts toward the task.
- Real "Due soon" shares. Long work due in the next 7 days shows the time Cue planned for each day, not an even split.
- Smarter order. Cue learns from your deadlines and how you finish work, and uses it to order Today and to answer "what should I do first?".
- Better new-item cards. Edit the place and notes before you save, and turn Add to Google Calendar on or off for new events when Google Calendar is connected with permission to add events.
- A new website.
Fixed
- Adding something that is already on a list now does nothing.
- A trailing "urgent" is understood, and a bare 11:59 means the end of the day.
- Cue saves your tasks and sync state more carefully on your Mac, so a crash can't bring back things you deleted on another Mac.
- Canvas items you deleted stay deleted.
Everything from 1.2.0 is included. Full history is in the changelog.

Cue 1.2.0
Cue 1.2 is here, free for everyone. Your tasks follow you between Macs, and Cue understands more of what you say.
Download
Cue-1.2.0-mac.zip: macOS 15 or later, Apple silicon and Intel.
Updating from 1.1? Choose Check for Updates… in the Cue menu. New to Cue? The install steps take about a minute.
New in 1.2
- More follows you. A task's checklist, extra links and reminder choice now sync to your other Mac. The first link is still the task's main link.
- Calendar places follow too. An Apple Calendar event's location shows on its task on your other Mac.
- Class schedules sync. Set up your classes once and they appear on your other Mac.
- Places and notes from speech. Say "study group at Levine 101 at 6" and the place is saved as the location. Say "dinner at 7, bring the charger" and the extra words are saved as a note.
- Delete by voice. "Delete the laundry one" now works.
Changed
- The plan no longer counts work due earlier again on later days.
- Pairing codes have an extra limit on how often they can be tried across all Macs.
Removed
- Cue no longer speaks. The spoken briefing and spoken answers are gone. Q still answers in text.
Everything from 1.1.0 is included. Full history is in the changelog.

Cue 1.1.0
Cue 1.1 is here, free for everyone. Plan a whole week by voice, use Cue on a second Mac, and get plainer messages when something goes wrong.
Download
Cue-1.1.0-mac.zip: macOS 15 or later, Apple silicon and Intel.
Updating from 1.0? Choose Check for Updates… in the Cue menu. New to Cue? The install steps take about a minute.
New in 1.1
- Plan your week. Say "study 6 hours this week" or "gym 3 times this week" and Cue shows a card of sessions in your free time, from today through Sunday. Sessions fall between 8 AM and 10 PM unless you give other hours, last 1 hour unless you say otherwise, and avoid your events. "N times" means at most one a day. Q can plan a week for you too.
- Use Cue on another Mac. On your first Mac, open Settings → Account → Use Cue on another Mac to get a code. It works for 10 minutes, and only once. On the new Mac, choose Already have an account? Enter a pairing code.
- Places follow your tasks. A task's location now syncs, so it shows up on your other Mac. If you edit a place while a sync is running, your edit wins.
- Edit by voice. Move, rename or delete a task by saying so. If more than one task fits, Cue asks which one.
- Better first run. Setup now has an account step (you can skip it and stay on this Mac only) and asks before downloading the better-accuracy voice model (480 MB). Open Cue when I log in starts off.
- Connect again. If Google Calendar is connected without permission to change events, Settings → Integrations shows Connect again.
- Help is in the app. Help → Cue Help opens the help page. Help → Contact Support opens the issue tracker. The About panel has credits and the same links.
Changed
- Errors read as plain sentences instead of codes, in sign-in, capture, calendar, schedule, syllabus and export.
- If notifications are off for Cue, Settings → Notifications says so and has a button to open System Settings.
- If the microphone is off, the capture bar shows Mic is off — Fix.
- When a request is saved but couldn't reach Google Calendar, Cue says "Saved in Cue only" and what to do.
- A banner tells you when you're offline and that changes will sync when you're back.
- If an update check fails, Cue offers to open the download page.
- Real accounts no longer see sample tasks. If a save fails, you see it and can try again.
- Error logs keep only the type of error, never what you wrote.
Everything from 1.0.0 is included. Full history is in the changelog.
SHA-256 Cue-1.1.0-mac.zip: 6551d2eaf46331e0d187f4c7f5bb5762a08beea63689ada945b19fa13728add6
Cue 1.0.0
Cue 1.0 is here, free for everyone. Press ⌥Space, say what's on your plate, and Cue puts it on your day.
Download
Cue-1.0.0-mac.zip: macOS 15 or later, Apple silicon and Intel.
New to Cue? The install steps take about a minute, including the one-time Open Anyway approval.
New in 1.0
- No invite needed. Open Cue, type your first name, and your account is ready. Invite codes still work.
- Check for Updates… in the Cue menu. Cue also checks once a day and shows a note in Settings when a new version is out.
- "Wake me up at 7" works again. Alarm-style requests now make a timed task with a reminder at that time, so nothing you say gets lost.
- Reminders you set on your Mac stay yours. A reminder that came with a request follows later changes. One you picked yourself is never overwritten.
Changed
- The privacy notice and Privacy Policy are rewritten in plain language.
- Send Feedback points you to the issue tracker when it can't send.
- Downloads are now
Cue-<version>-mac.zip, each with a SHA-256 checksum.
Removed
- Leftover alarm cards in the change preview, and the "Coming soon" placeholder in Settings → Integrations.
Everything from the 0.9.0 release candidate is included: the redesign, ⌘K, syllabus import, focus mode, the workload heatmap and more. Full history is in the changelog.
SHA-256 Cue-1.0.0-mac.zip: 90d9efee78b81f4d14736ae1dc467057176eeb530181cd4e821512b01fb3c7b7
Cue 0.9.0: release candidate
The release candidate: the redesign build testers used in the week before 1.0. It's kept here for the record. For the current version, download the latest release.
Highlights
- A new look. Light and dark themes, the bubble-shaped Q, a floating sidebar and a calmer Today.
- ⌘K command palette: search actions, tasks, events and categories.
- Syllabus import and class schedules: drop in a syllabus or paste a timetable, and the semester fills itself in.
- Focus mode (pomodoro on any task), evening wrap-up and week in review.
- At-risk deadlines, plus a workload heatmap that warns you before a crunch.
- Recurring tasks, snooze, subtasks, reminders, and links and files on tasks.
- Menu bar next-up, agenda export, a spoken briefing, and ICS calendar feeds.
Fixes
- Deleted tasks stay deleted. Repeating tasks keep their time across daylight saving. A damaged local file can't overwrite real tasks. Many voice-recognition fixes.
Removed
- Routines and Alarms, plus Plan my day and Quick wins, to keep Cue focused.
Full list in the changelog.

Cue 0.1.0 beta 1: the first build
The first Cue build, shared with a small group of testers on October 1, 2026. It's kept here for the record. For the current version, download the latest release.
What was in it
- Capture from anywhere. Press ⌥Space, then type or talk. On-device Whisper corrects the transcript.
- Today view, Canvas calendar-feed import, and questions about your schedule: "what's due tomorrow?", "am I free at 3?"
- Google Calendar and Apple Calendar. Events come in, and adds, edits and deletes go back out to your calendar.
- Fast replies. Most requests are handled on the spot by Cue's own parser, and the rest come back in about 1.3 s.
Notes
- Testers joined with an invite code. Invite codes still work in 1.0.
- Ad-hoc signed. See Install for the one-time Open Anyway step.
