What's new in 0.1.5
One-click installer + shelf
No more manual setup. Source install_supra.py once and it installs the
plugin, the toolbar, and a "Supra" shelf button that loads everything with
a single click.
CV curve tool — control cage while drawing
The control-point (CV) curve now shows its control polygon (cage) and the
true curve as you place points, so what you see while drawing matches the
result. Clear separation between EP (through-point) and CV (control-point)
construction.
New UI foundation
A shared design system gives the tool panels a single, consistent look —
teal accent, segmented controls, live sliders. The first panels have been
rebuilt on it; more will follow in upcoming releases.
Bridge curve (beta)
A new tool to bridge two curves, with a live teal preview, selectable
geometric continuity (G0/G1/G2/G3), tension, and per-curve end selection.
In this build it creates the connecting curve between the two inputs;
merging the three into a single unified curve is coming in a later update.
Cleaner document structure
Supra objects are auto-sorted into Curves / Solids / Shells groups under the
SupraDocument node. Empty duplicate groups from earlier builds are gone.
Signed build
The plugin is code-signed (SSL.com), so Windows trusts the file.
Install
- Unzip the package matching your Maya version, keeping all files together.
- In Maya: Script Editor > File > Source Script... >
install_supra.py. - Click the new "Supra" shelf button.
Full steps are in README_INSTALL.txt inside each package.
Known limitations (beta)
- Windows only (Maya 2025 or 2026 — see downloads above).
- Most tool panels still use the previous UI style (migration in progress).
- Bridge creates the connecting curve but does not yet merge the curves
into one. - Beta software: save often.
