Paper theme
A warm, off-white theme for reading at night or over long stretches, when a plain white screen is too harsh.
It replaces the Black theme, which was never distinct enough from Dark to earn its place — devices set to Black now fall back to System.
Improvements
- The macOS
.dmgwindow has a proper background and icon layout instead of a bare Finder window. - The Windows icon sits on a white rounded plate, so the black stone no longer disappears into a dark taskbar.
- Spacing between words in the editor is slightly tighter. It was wider than it needed to be.
Fixes
- Korean text fell back to Gulim on Windows. Windows had no Korean font in the stack and substituted Gulim on its own. Pretendard now ships with the app, so Windows and macOS render the same text.
- Dim text in the Dark theme. Body and secondary text were hard to read against the dark background. Both are a step brighter now, across the sidebar, editor, and toolbar.
- Checkboxes flickered back to raw
- [ ]. The raw form now appears only when the cursor is on the marker itself, not anywhere on the line — so it stays rendered while you type the rest of the task. - Tooltips stuck after a tap. On touch, a button kept its tooltip until you tapped somewhere else, leaving labels like "Settings" floating over the screen you had just opened. Tooltips are now limited to real hover.
- The note tree felt stiff on iOS. Short lists that fit their container had no bounce at all. They now stretch when pulled, like longer ones.

Windows shows a SmartScreen warning on first launch because the installer is
unsigned — choose More info, then Run anyway.
