Notes
-
macOS: the
.pkgis not Developer ID signed, so double-clicking a
browser-downloaded copy is blocked by Gatekeeper ("Apple could not
verify ..."). Install with the one-line installer instead -curl
does not set the quarantine attribute andinstallerskips the
Gatekeeper assessment:curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/yushulx/virtual-scanner/main/macos/Scripts/install.sh | bashor install a manually downloaded copy from the terminal:
sudo installer -pkg VirtualScanner-<version>.pkg -target /.
To ship a signed and notarized package, set theMACOS_*
repository secrets (seemacos/Scripts/package.sh) and rebuild. -
Windows: a TWAIN Data Source Manager (
twaindsm.dll/twain_32.dll) must be
present - every scanner driver or Dynamic Web TWAIN installs one. -
Linux: the backend is installed together with its configuration, the sample
images and thedll.ddrop-in that enables it; check the sample folder at
/usr/share/custom_scanner/images. -
All packages are built from the sources of this tag unless the workflow was
started manually without a compiler available.
