Added

  • Ask about this transcript (per-session AI chat). Every saved session now
has a chat where you can ask the active AI provider (OpenAI or Gemini) questions
about that transcript — e.g. "What were the main decisions?" or "What did each
speaker focus on?". The conversation is persisted per session, so it is still
there when you reopen the recording, and can be cleared at any time.
  • Collapsible "Ask" sidebar. On the session-detail (transcription result)
page the chat lives in its own right-hand sidebar card, beside the history
    sidebar and the transcript/summary — a three-column layout. It collapses to a
thin vertical "Ask" strip to give the transcript more room, and the
collapsed/expanded choice is remembered between sessions and app restarts.

Changed

  • The session-detail page is now a three-column shell (history · transcript &
summary · chat). The chat is a real sibling column that the content reflows
around, replacing the old inline "Ask about this transcript" section in the
    middle of the page.

Internal

  • Test-Driven Development foundation. Added Rust (cargo test) and frontend
(bun test) suites covering Zustand stores, language/error/db logic, and
lib/ helpers; TDD is now the required workflow for new features and fixes.
  • Stronger CI. Quality gates enforce the test suites + ESLint on every change,
with added dependency-audit and commit-lint jobs.
  • Codebase decomposition. Split the large commands.rs, db.rs, and ai.rs
into focused per-domain modules, and extracted session-detail
(markdown/highlight/speakers) and settings (styles / AppearanceSection) helpers.
  • The Windows updater now prefers the NSIS artifact; CLAUDE.md is no longer
    tracked in git.

See the assets below to download and install. Builds are not code-signed yet, so the OS may warn on first run (Windows SmartScreen / macOS Gatekeeper — on macOS, right-click the app and choose Open).
