Calyx v0.46.0
What's Changed
Usage Tracking
Calyx_Usage_Promo_EN.mp4
- Calyx can now record Claude Code's token usage as Claude Code counts it itself, including subagents, advisor calls and background requests
- Off by default. Turn it on in Settings → Agents → Usage Tracking (requires Enable AI Agent IPC)
- While tracking is on, Calyx adds telemetry settings to
~/.claude/settings.jsonso Claude Code on this Mac sends its token counts to Calyx on localhost. Turning Usage Tracking or AI Agent IPC off removes them again, and a file that already has telemetry settings of its own is left untouched and reported in Settings - Only numbers and short labels (model, effort, thread, agent type, project, session) are stored, in a local database. Conversation text and account identifiers are never stored
- Tokens used while Calyx was not running are added from the session's own totals as unreported rows
- The Usage Tracking row in Settings shows whether Calyx is receiving, waiting, or why nothing is received
Usage window
- View → Usage (
Option-Command-U, or Usage… in the command palette) shows input, cache read, cache write and output tokens by model, effort, thread and project - Filter by today, the last 7 or 30 days, or all time, by project and by thread. A Columns menu turns each dimension on or off, including a per-day column
- The table refreshes by itself while the window is open
- Delete Usage Data… erases everything recorded. Turning tracking off keeps the stored data
Mission Map
- Each card shows its Claude Code session's running token total (output and input) while Usage Tracking is on
usage_report MCP tool
- Agents can query the recorded usage with
usage_report, grouped by model, effort, thread, agent type, day, project or session, with totals and unreported tokens marked separately - It answers only while Usage Tracking is on
- The Calyx MCP server now exposes 86 tools
Sidebar
- Drag a group header to reorder tab groups
- Drag a tab onto another group to move it there
UI
- A Mission Map line's message popover now keeps 8 pt from the map's edges instead of sitting flush against them
Note: Only Claude Code sessions started while Usage Tracking is on are counted, so restart sessions that were already running. Restarting your agent CLI instances also lets them pick up the new usage_report tool. Before downgrading to an earlier Calyx version, turn Usage Tracking off so the telemetry settings are removed.
