Kiri v1.4.1
What's new in v1.4.1
This update reduces resource usage and improves capture and recording reliability.
Performance and memory
- Reduced app size and peak memory usage during capture, preview generation, and recording.
- Frozen captures now reuse a single shared image buffer.
- Library thumbnails load on demand, decode at their display size, and use a bounded cache.
- Large videos stream through byte-range reads instead of loading the entire file for playback.
Fixes and reliability
- Hardened recording on macOS and Windows with bounded video/audio queues, encoder cleanup, and recovery of completed segments when possible.
- Fixed macOS recording crashes caused by cross-thread ScreenCaptureKit/AppKit access and capture delegate lifetime issues.
- Selection dimensions now show final output pixels.
- Valid width/height edits resize the selection immediately without a second confirmation.
- Fixed stale library selections after asset changes, plus GIF preview, thumbnail refresh, and window resource cleanup.
