Kiri v1.4.2
What is new in v1.4.2
This update simplifies screenshot completion, fixes a macOS hang, and makes capture controls easier to move out of the way.
Capture workflow
- Screenshot completion now has one clear clipboard-first action that also saves the result to the local library.
- Removed the low-use overflow menu and Pin on Screen workflow; export and editing remain available from the library.
- The Screenshot, Record, and OCR mode selector stays top-centered by default and can be dragged anywhere within the display.
Feedback and reliability
- Fixed a macOS deadlock that could freeze Kiri after cancelling a Save As dialog.
- Moved save dialogs and Kiri image or media loading off the main application thread.
- Completion feedback now appears on the display where capture or recording started.
- GIF conversion shows persistent progress and prevents duplicate conversion requests.
- Fixed library menu clicks that could accidentally enter batch selection.
