• Download HangLater.exe — Windows 10 1809+/11 x64; portable, self-contained, no separate .NET installation.
• Includes the desktop clothesline, app/document restoration, reminders, Light/Dark themes, Chinese/English, collapsible completion groups and an interactive 3D Done Spike. Windows spike eligibility uses completion time, independently of task creation time.
• Browser extension assets are embedded and extracted locally from Connect Chrome. No personal tasks, screenshots or development backups are distributed.
• Source: Windows implementation at ae8c336. Build and verification.
• The EXE is an unsigned community build. Check the attached SHA-256 before running; do not disable Windows security protections.

This update makes the desktop clothesline feel faster and behave more naturally during capture and dragging.

What’s improved

• Source windows return to their original position — after an app window is dragged onto the clothesline, Hang Later restores that exact window to the position it occupied before the capture.
• A quieter desktop drop target — the “Drag something here” box appears only while a supported item or app window is actually being dragged and the clothesline has already been revealed. It still darkens when the pointer enters the target.
• Smoother paper dragging — pointer movement now updates only the paper being dragged. The paper keeps a direction-aware sway without continuously redrawing every card on the clothesline.
• A full-size Dock icon — Hang Later now starts with a normal Dock tile instead of a collapsed icon. Closing the main window still removes it from the Dock while the menu-bar pin keeps the app running.
• More reliable reopening — reopening Hang Later also restores a minimized main window.

Existing local tasks remain compatible with this release.

• 更流畅的纸片拖动：移动指针时只更新正在拖动的纸片，不再让整条晾衣绳反复渲染；纸片仍会根据拖动方向自然摆动。
• 正常尺寸的 Dock 图标：Hang Later 启动时会显示完整的 Dock 图标。关闭主窗口后，Dock 图标仍会消失，菜单栏大头针会让应用继续在后台运行。
• 更可靠的重新打开：再次打开 Hang Later 时，也会恢复已经最小化的主窗口。

现有的本地任务可以继续使用，无需迁移。

This release makes Hang Later more useful for both desktop work and everyday plans.

Fixes in the refreshed build

• Typora window cards now remember the matching Markdown file. Clicking a new or existing card reopens and raises that exact document.

• In dark mode, each light paper card now keeps its … menu button black and readable.

• The redesigned desktop drop target reliably accepts files, links, images, and app windows again while keeping its darker drag-over feedback.

• To-do list … menus now match clothesline cards: Edit, Add or Change reminder, Task type, and Delete.

• Clicking task details opens the full editor; clicking its thumbnail enlarges the saved image or screenshot in macOS Preview.

• Edit now shows available previews for images, web pages, app windows, PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and CSV tasks.

What’s new

• Hang a Reminder — create a timed reminder directly from the menu-bar pin. Links are optional; Zoom, Tencent Meeting, Feishu, and Lark meeting links are recognized automatically and open with one click. macOS notifications bring the reminder back at the selected time.
• Hang an Idea — capture a thought from the menu bar and place it on the clothesline as a clean, text-first slip.
• A more reliable desktop clothesline — the visible drop target now owns the complete drop interaction, deliberate window dragging prevents accidental captures, and new settings can keep the clothesline visible and move it vertically on screen. New browser captures look for open space instead of fully overlapping an existing slip.
• Faster clothesline cleanup — complete or delete every visible slip in one action.
• Document thumbnails — Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and CSV files now use macOS Quick Look thumbnails, alongside the existing image and PDF previews.
• Custom task types — create named task types from a curated color palette. The selected color appears only on the slip’s Done row and follows the finished slip onto the Done Spike.
• A more flexible Done Spike — resize individual finished slips and define a workday that can end on the following day. The spike only counts tasks published inside that workday.
• Collapsible Completed groups — group finished work by day, week, or month, then collapse sections to reach older records immediately.
• Improved Settings — section navigation, larger type, a resizable window, and better spacing around controls.
• Cleaner Mac behavior — Hang Later appears in the Dock while its main window is open. Closing the window removes the Dock icon while the menu-bar pin keeps the app running in the background.

Existing local tasks remain compatible with this release.

Hang Later turns unfinished pages, files, images, app windows, and everyday tasks into paper cards on a macOS clothesline.

What’s new

• A clear dashed drop target makes desktop dragging reliable: release a file, image, link, or app window inside the marked area to hang it.
• Done Spike now shows only tasks published during the current workday.
• New Settings let each person define a workday that can cross midnight, such as 15:00 to 03:00.
• Clothesline adds Complete all and Delete all for every currently visible slip.
• Clothesline and Completed sidebar entries no longer show redundant counts.

新增内容

• 桌面晾衣绳新增清晰的虚线投放区：文件、图片、链接或 App 窗口在框内松开即可挂上。
• 完成钉现在只显示当前工作日内发布的任务。
• 新增「设置」，每个人都可以定义允许跨过凌晨的工作日，例如 15:00 到次日 03:00。
• 晾衣绳新增「全部完成」和「全部删除」，一次处理当前可见的所有纸片。
• 侧栏「晾衣绳」和「已完成」不再显示重复数量。
