MyDB 1.0.0 is the first public-preview release of this Rust database with MySQL protocol support. It is intended for feature validation and controlled-environment evaluation; it is not yet a production-grade MySQL replacement, and on-disk formats are not guaranteed to be backward compatible.

These portable packages contain mydb, mydb-backup, documentation, third-party licenses and build manifests. Verify the download with SHA256SUMS before extracting it. Default features include TLS, the fast allocator and the MySQL replication receiver.
Start
Extract the package into a new directory. From the directory containing the executable, run:
./mydb --host 127.0.0.1 --port 8738On Windows PowerShell, use .\mydb.exe instead. Set MYDB_DATA_DIR to a persistent local directory before startup. A fresh database creates root@localhost with password root; set MYDB_ROOT_PASSWORD before the first startup to choose another initial password. Connect with a MySQL 8.0 client:
mysql -h127.0.0.1 -P8738 -uroot -proot --ssl-mode=REQUIRED testSee the bundled documentation for configuration, TLS, backup and recovery, platform requirements, and compatibility limits. Windows may require the Microsoft Visual C++ x64 Redistributable. Windows Service and Windows ARM64-native binaries are outside this release's scope.
