Shield V1.6 Release Notes

What's New

  • Important Account Reset: Due to a necessary system update, all existing user accounts have been removed. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. You will need to create a new account when you launch the updated app.
  • Mandatory Username Selection for Google Sign-Up: When signing up with a Google account, you'll now be prompted to choose a unique username.
  • Consistent Phone Number Formatting: Phone numbers are now consistently stored in the format 0xxxxxxxxxx.
  • Enhanced Confirmation Messages: Refined welcome and confirmation messages throughout the app for a more professional experience, with improved animations.

Improvements

  • Streamlined Sign-Up Flow: Removed the profile photo upload step from the initial sign-up. You can still add/update your photo in profile settings.
  • Improved Email Verification Messaging: Clearer messages for email verification issues, including a specific message for rate-limiting.
  • Dashboard Layout Refinements: Removed the Settings card; Notifications card now takes full width. Settings are still in the bottom navigation.
  • Settings screen: now the user has more options to control the app.

Fixes

  • Fixed all known build errors and warnings. Clean, error-free compilation.
  • Resolved various deprecation warnings.
  • Addressed minor UI inconsistencies and layout issues.

  • Password Change functionality (Profile page).
  • Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) setup (Profile page).

Important Notes

  • Account Reset: Must create a new account after updating. Previous data is removed.
  • One-Time Notification: A one-time notification on launch explains the account reset.
